Abstract: This book has background information and directions for experiments about human anatomy and physiology. The book is part of the SCIENCE PROJECTS series, which has activities and projects to encourage students to investigate the world of science. The book, which is organized by body system, contains experiments that can be performed at home, with some adult supervision. Many of the experiments in the book only require that students make superficial observations that do not require being able to see inside the body. Experiments that look at bone structure and subcutaneous make-up are achieved through the use of chicken parts from the local supermarket. Included are figures illustrating the experiments and cartoons showing internal human parts that are unable to be seen without dissection. Some experiments require special instruments or glassware.
