Abstract: This student study guide is intended to help students in grades 3-4 prepare for Earth and space science tests. It is part of the TEST TIME! SCIENCE series, a set of practice books that familiarizes students with a variety of test formats aligned to standards. Questions are divided into three major sections: general science, Earth science, and space science. Within the three sections, questions are divided into more focused sections that explore such topics as designing a good experiment, weather and climate, and planets. At least one question per section encourages students to apply their understanding. For example, in the section on the atmosphere, students are presented with a diagram of the Earth's atmosphere in layers and prompted to answer seven relevant multiple-choice questions and two extended-response questions. One extended-response question asks students to describe what would happen if Earth lost the ozone layer. Answers to all questions are provided at the end of the workbook. (Author/JAT)
