Abstract: This videodisc providing a database of over 3000 photographs, films, and computer graphics is designed to help students from grade 10 to college to understand human anatomy and physiology. The images correlate and support each chapter of the textbook Principles of Anatomy and Physiology (7th edition, by Tortora and Grabowski). These images include cadaver dissections, histology stills, lab demonstrations, and views of external anatomy. Mini documentaries explore the latest biomedical technologies, clinical practices, careers, and applications of physiology concepts. Both English and Spanish narrations are available in the videodisc. An annotated directory provides the concept, frame number, and barcode for each image. A supplementary software program (MediaMAX for Macintosh or IBM compatible), which can be purchased separately, allows teachers to arrange custom lists of movies and images. (CCC)
